Hello everyone! Here with another weekly post about Vedic Astrology. Reading a birth chart and seeing where the planets are placed can reveal a lot about the person you are reading for, but that’s only quarter of the battle to understand the person receiving the reading. The most important factor to understand in Vedic Astrology is Nakshatras. Within each zodiac from Aries to Pisces are Nakshatras which are known as constellations, which can reveal a lot about an individual. There are 27 Nakshatras and to understand each Nakshatra, you need to see which Deity rules the Nakshatra and then going into the Vedas, reading about the particular Deity. The first part is understanding how to read and translate Sanskrit. I can say for a fact, many of the transliterated versions of the Vedas are not even close to what the original Sanskrit meant. One Shloka in the Vedas can have at least 20 meanings. I have personally spent many hours reading and deciphering shlokas in order to understand nakshatras better and give accurate readings for my clients, but there is always more to study, for example Indra (King of the Gods, uses Lightning Bolts as a weapon and controls the rains) owns a few Nakshatras and there is at least 120 verses on him in the Vedas. Translating stories about Indra, one can see, the person having the reading would love milk products, enjoy cooking, wanting to accomplish certain things in life fast etc. Now when a planet sits in a certain house, it is assigned a nakshatra, and through that planet we can see the individual’s life through the chart. Each planet will display different characteristics for each person, but a common theme always plays out regardless of planet. If we look at the Nakshatra of Ashwini, it relates to the Ashwin Kumars, by looking at multiple stories we can say that:
• People with Ashwini Nakshatra are the initiators of something; they want to be the first to do it amongst their group. • In the first 13 degrees and 20 arc minutes of Aries of the Nakshatra, these people are extremely impulsive. • They will always do things regardless if they succeed and will take it as a lesson, then will wait, assess what happened and then succeed. • They can see an opportunity miles away and jump on it before anyone else can • Love for High Altitude places. • Will have abandonment issues or lack of nourishment from the father. • Will find their true love in a place that is foreign to them (can be a country or a place 4 hours from your home, somewhere you are not familiar with) • Depending on house and zodiac placement we can see the person becoming medical/healing professionals, Doctors specializing in Anastasia, ophthalmology (eye doctors) or working in emergency medicine. (Through the stories of the Ashwin Kumars can see all these traits) This is just a small example of the roles Nakshatras play. An astrologer who doesn’t use nakshatras can only go so far. Nakshatras is that piece of the puzzle that shows you how life will unfold and where it may take you and shape you as an individual.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and it’s with great pleasure to announce that I am now offering Nakshatra readings, which will cover a person’s planet placement with the Nakshatras. Knowing Nakshatras can easily help guide a person in life when they are lost. I have used Nakshatras to help people find careers of interest, areas to study, how to improve areas of life they feel they are suffering in. Each Nakshatra has its own remedy as well which is included in this new service.
